Lone Star To share Menu Prices

The 'To share' section is Lone Star's starter list, designed for the table before mains arrive. It ranges from a hot cowboy bean dip and a baked garlic loaf to Dixie Chips loaded with sauce, bacon and cheese, sticky 'Chief' chicken nibbles, salt-and-pepper squid, nachos, a quesadilla and a 500 g pot of green-lipped mussels. A starter-sized Prawn Star, the chain's garlic, chilli and coriander prawns, is also offered here.

Lone Star Burgers Menu Prices

Lone Star keeps its burger list short. The Gerhard uses a beef pattie and the Glen Campbell a grilled free-range chicken breast, and both are stacked with red onion, Swiss cheese, bacon, gherkins, lettuce, tomato and aioli in a sourdough bun. Chips are not included, but can be added. A vegetable pattie can replace the meat at no extra cost, and the bun can be swapped for lettuce.

Lone Star Seafood Menu Prices

The seafood mains are built around market fish and tiger prawns. Blue Pacific is a classic fish 'n chips in Steinlager beer batter with tartare sauce and salad, while Rock the Boat grills the fish with herbs and parmesan and serves it with mash. The main-size Prawn Star is sautéed prawn cutlets in garlic, chilli and coriander butter with rice and salad, the same dish that appears as a starter.

Lone Star's salad is the Comanche, a Caesar-style bowl with grilled chicken, a poached egg, cos lettuce, streaky bacon, anchovies, parmesan and croutons. It is a full main rather than a side salad. The chicken can be switched to pan-seared beef strips for an extra charge.

Lone Star Legendary ribs Menu Prices

Ribs are Lone Star's signature. The pork is blanched in honey and spices, fire-blasted and coated in the chain's hoisin, orange and sesame seed sauce, then served with buffalo chips. Pick full-length Redneck Ribs, BB King St Louis-style rib fingers, or the Cross Roads, which is half of each. Every style comes in the same three sizes: a Trail serve as a starter, a Maverick serve as a main, and an Outlaw serve for two people.

Three chicken breast mains make up this section. Cajun Chicken is pan-seared with a spice rub and topped with spicy sauce, sour cream and jalapeños, served with coleslaw and chilli rice. Dixie Chicken comes in a creamy garlic and white wine sauce with vegetables, and Jonny Stash is a herb-crusted breast stuffed with mushroom, spinach, cheese and sundried tomato. Kids' mains at Lone Star come with a free kids' drink and a choice of chips, mashed potato or rice. The bar snacks menu repeats many of the starters, sometimes at a different price, and adds a couple of dishes you will not find on the main menu. Lone Star's platters are large sharing boards for groups and must be ordered ahead. The Wagon Wheel combines chicken strips, chicken nibbles, fish bites, Redneck ribs and chips.
