JOEY Starters & Shares Menu Prices

JOEY's starters are designed for the table. The list includes Bang Bang Chicken with Korean chili caramel, a spicy crab dip with sourdough, Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps, hummus with crispy pita, Japanese gyoza, hibachi wings, Korean fried cauliflower, miso roasted mushrooms and truffle Parmesan fries. Mini short rib French dips come in sets of two or four, and the steak and ravioli bianco is offered as a large share plate. Most starters cost $14 to $26.

The salads range from a farmers market salad with strawberries, beets and aged cheddar to a katsu chicken salad and a seared yellowfin tuna salad with mango and avocado. The Mediterranean bowl combines harissa chicken with chickpeas, artichokes, hummus and jasmine rice. A small house salad and a wedge of garlic toast are also listed here as sides. Chicken or salmon can be added to the farmers market salad.

JOEY Handhelds Menu Prices

All handhelds are served with fries. There are four on the menu: Baja fish tacos with shrimp and cod, Baja cauliflower tacos, a grilled chicken club with bacon and aged cheddar, and the JOEY cheeseburger with two patties. Fries can be swapped for a salad for $3.50 or for truffle Parmesan fries for $7. The burger can also be ordered on a gluten-free bun or protein-style in lettuce for a small extra charge.

JOEY's steak section starts with a 6 oz sirloin served with its fully loaded crispy mashed potatoes, as the Classic Steak, as steak frites or with a lobster tail. The sirloin can be upgraded to a 6 oz CAB filet mignon or a 14 oz prime New York strip. The Icon Cuts are larger steaks: the prime New York strip, a 22 oz bone-in ribeye and a 35-day dry-aged tomahawk for two to four people that must be pre-ordered. There are also steak pairings with sushi or lobster spaghetti.

The other mains cover chicken, seafood and pasta. They include JOEY fajitas with blackened chicken or prawns, chicken Parmesan with spaghetti pomodoro, herb crusted salmon with truffle beurre blanc, oven-roasted wild cod in Thai peanut curry sauce, blackened chicken with warm potato salad, and lobster spaghetti with prawns. Prices at the Sherway restaurant run from $34.50 to $39.50. A few pastas are shown on the online menu without a price and are left out here.

JOEY Sushi Menu Prices

JOEY serves sushi in five ways. There is a hand-rolled sushi cone with tempura prawn, an ahi tuna duo roll, crispy nigiri with tuna and salmon, and an Osaka-pressed seared salmon sushi finished with a torch. The steak and sushi plate pairs tataki-style steak with one of the sushi choices. The sushi cone is priced per piece, and the other plates cost about $20 to $23.

There are four desserts, and all of them are marked vegetarian. The baked apple pie is hand-folded and served with Canadian maple ice cream. The crème brûlée cheesecake comes in half and full sizes with strawberry compote. Warm Italian donuts are served with mascarpone cream and lemon curd, and the molten chocolate cake with raspberries and vanilla ice cream. Full-size desserts cost $14.50 to $15.50.

The zero-proof list has alcohol-free cocktails, including a vermouth-style Vino Cool, a Zip Margarita made with sugar-free triple sec, and cranberry and strawberry coolers, plus frozen lemonade. There are also non-alcoholic beers such as Guinness 0% and Asahi Super-Dry 0.0%, and Red Bull. Prices are $7 to $11. A low-alcohol sauvignon blanc is also available by the glass or bottle.
