How We Check Restaurant Menu Prices
Most menu-price sites copy each other. We keep a record of where every price came from and when it was checked, and we show that date on the page.
Where prices come from
In order of preference:
- The brand’s own website or app, for a named store.
- An in-store menu board or receipt, photographed by us, with the store and date recorded.
- A delivery app, only when nothing better exists, and labelled as such, because delivery prices are usually higher.
How often we check
Every menu is re-checked at least once a month. If a menu goes more than 60 days without a check, the page shows a warning until it is reviewed.
How changes are recorded
After each review we save a snapshot of every price. The “What changed” section on each menu page is generated by comparing the two most recent snapshots, so you can see exactly which prices went up or down.
Found a mistake?
Use the Report an outdated price form at the bottom of any menu page. We review every report and correct the page, usually within a few days.
